Our Mission

The Bobo Fund is committed to providing assistance to pet owners facing financial hardship, ensuring that their beloved pets with chronic illnesses receive the essential medication they need.

The Bobo Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created in July 2024 in memory of Bobo, a dachshund who was rescued from a shelter in Kentucky at the age of 10 after his owner passed away during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bobo battled with Cushing's disease, hypothyroidism, and chronic pancreatitis. Having firsthand experience with both the emotional and financial challenges involved in providing for a pet with chronic illnesses, The Bobo Fund seeks to alleviate the financial strain on pet owners who are facing hardship by assisting with the cost of essential medications for these pets.

Suddenly stopping or giving medications irregularly can cause even more issues for pets with chronic illnesses. Long-term medication and especially prescription pet food can be extremely costly, and the mission of The Bobo Fund is to help owners who are facing financial hardship not have to sacrifice the quality of life of their beloved pets and still provide them with their required medications. Additionally, we will help you find the best deal on medication to help you continue to provide for your pet long term.

Your pet does not already have to be on medication to receive assistance from The Bobo Fund. Oftentimes, diagnoses for chronic illnesses can come about very suddenly, and medication is necessary to maintain a pet’s quality of life. If you have a new diagnosis, we will help you get started so your pet can start feeling better as soon as possible. We want to keep pets in their homes. We're here to help!
